ILSF
Iranian Light Source Facility

Developing

The Iranian Light Source Facility (ILSF) is Iran’s first large-scale accelerator complex and a fourth-generation synchrotron light source, currently under construction in Qazvin, approximately 150 km west of Tehran, Iran. Based on the current design, the 3 GeV storage ring has a circumference of 528 meters, with a beam current of 400 mA and a natural beam emittance of 0.267 nm.rad. Significant progress has been made at the ILSF R&D laboratory, including the development and construction of prototype accelerator components such as high-power solid-state radio frequency amplifiers, low-level RF systems, thermionic RF guns, H-type dipole and quadrupole magnets, a magnetic measurement laboratory, and highly stable magnet power supplies.
